And we found one located right opp a church in Novena. I'm nt gonna named it. I guess it has too much publicity thus lets carry on with the story.
Paid $18.90 nett for it. Its a steamboat tom yam/chicken broth affair. The ambiance is pretty nicely touch up. With the light English music streaming the area. But! the floor is SOOOOOOO slipperyyyyyyyyy!!! or izzit my shoe. no coz jun hui felt so too.next thing, drinks are nt provided. sold at $1.50 per cup. and there are clearly zero indication on how to use the terriyaki and barbeque area unless you asked. which eventually, we did.
so she told us in a nt so precinct clear english. tat u take the meat or seafood and clip the clipper on the plate and place it on the barbeque area.or terriyaki area.then we went ohhhhhhhhhhhhh~~~ nw we get it.
Jun hui pointed out tat all the waitress wear black stockings. so i took a glance at the black stockings and the next thing I look at my food, I wasn't hungry anymore. Because erm it juz, u noe, doesnt~~hmmm fit the attire that they are wearing so to speak.
Movin' on, the next thing is when I flipped out my camera and took photos of the place and food. the manageress and the waitress started to surround us, looking at us and constantly clearing our plates. I guess they mistook us for some mystery shoppers. lol.
well, if tats the case it meant better treatment. no doubt they kept clearing and clearing. bt it gets really frustrating tat we could have used the plate to put our food. in the end, we gt to take a new plate. and the terriyaki & barbeque plates took quite some time to our table. Perhaps, the time we went in, it juz opened.
Then there was the prawn and crab. each customer is limited to 100 g of prawn and 1 crab. and tis china guy's expression who served the prawns and crab were so unruly and impolite. maybe he was chopping the crab and I disturbed him. my bad.
And I didnt noe the prawn is still alive untill jun hui opened the plate and the prawns are jumping so high. Initially, he put one prawn in. My heart alr ache. Coz I don't like to see the process of live things being cooked. I prefer dead alr then cooked. within sec, the prawn turned orange. afterwhich I contemplate as to whether the remaning prawns shld be placed inside the steamboat.
Eventually, I did. tat makes me the murderer of 11 prawns. sad case. when i ate it, the prawn were so que and tangy. U can feel that the moment they gt dip into the boiling soup, their muscle contracted so much tat the meat becomes tough.
Which reminds me the day when I went prawning. I brght the live prawn back hme and place it in the basin, to let it swim. The next thing I came out from the room, my mum placed the prawn into the oven!! -_-
The dessert were quite nice and chilled even though they placed it in an open area.
Conclusion is, its a normal type of buffet steamboat. things are presented on the buffet table properly, nth much to awe abt. But, its really really popular. ard 1 and half hr later, theres queue all the way frm the shop to the road. tats how long it is.

Its better if drinks are included. ice water wld be preferable.Next, we went to Velocity @ Novena. And we caught some people playing ice hockey. Its real ice in a shopping mall. Juz spend $50 and get 10 pucks. Gt in 1, get a candy cane. Gt in 3, get a $10 voucher. Gt in 8, get a $50 voucher. wad u gt to do is hit the puck from the end till a very small goal in the other end.
For sure, he plays golf.
His the big winner with 8 goal!
Last thing. Is tis wad they call true love? or the guy is filthy rich.
