Fable 2: A king bestow a farmer a Bottlegourd seed. (It looks like a hour class shaped used in ancient china for storage purposes) So the farmer went back to plant the seed. After harvest, the Bottle Gourd grew immensely huge..Larger than normal..So he asked the wise one
Farmer: I cant use my bottle Gourd anymore. If I cut into half, it cant pick up water,scoop rice or wheat. The surface area is too wide and the skin is to thin. Anything that touches it will make it loosen and breaks.
Wise One: *thought for a while* you see my frend, in the battle between yue and wang of the warring dynasty. There lives a family with a formula. This formula enable them to withstand frost bites and shivers in the body. So they set up a cloth dye business. Business was well.
However, One day, a man offered 100 gold for the formula. The family discussed overnight. They felt that 100 gold is like a dream come true, even if they continue the dye business, it be long to see 100 gold.
The Next Day, they gave him the formula and tk the gold contentedly. The Man then went to the wang king. He said: My Lord, this formula can make your soldiers free of frost bites and icy skin. They can wield their sword and fight the enemies. So the king sent his army to a naval battle against the yue in the icy regions. A landslide victory...the king conferred him a prestigious title and tonnes of wealth. He became overweight rich overnight...
The Wise One then tie up the bottle gourd and float across the river and back. The farmer was amazed. The wise one showed to him that things seemingly looks spoilt or cant fufill its supposed duty does not means its not useful. We need to do revertive thoughts to look at another angle which perhaps can bring about better results like the "Formula". A similar formula but it is applied in 2 different ways. Which tells us why the world is different.
