Alight the bus and reached a seemingly slum squatter...Yes we are @ Johore Bahru now... Jun Hui & me...The scorching sun shines the dirty, humid and hostile checkpoint. The first welcome scene was a immigration officer reading magazine inside the cooling office.... Next was a group of taxi drivers touting and beggars filling the street...
We walked through the tunnel to go to City Square, the nearest shopping mall... JH 1st purchase was a cigarette... how can 1 resist is cheap even though i don smoke bt its cheap...
We walked to City Square and the environment is a total contrast with the outside...It looks like a shopping mall and smells like one...
Jun hui bought a belt at Factory Outlet Store and we went to inner city...its some what like a mini bugis street... So the objective was to look for my puma shoe and his shoe as well... walked around various shop and decided to try out on one...
When I was trying the shoe, he spoke to me in malay... i didnt noe wad to say, lucky JH noe a lil bit of malay so we juz boleh or tak boleh... however the size doesnt fit...
so we tried on another one... and finally bght it for ringgit 99.90 quite cheap though...spore would be 100 over dollars... JH still cant find his size so we went to the 1st level to check it out...
Finally, there was his size bt the sole is inverted so he decided to buy everlast which i personally felt the design and sole were of better quality...
And I found out that all the shoe shop have some sort of conspiracy... all of them wore black, have walkie talkie, when we asked for sizes, they were go to a store very far away...do watch out so you do not get conned...
We decided to dine in Secret Recipe and I tell U the cakes are Huge...there was Tiramisu and CHoco Indulgence...and it cost ard $2.70 each which u cant find it in Spore secret Recipe...
When we asked for the bill, it read 33.90 ring git..I was stunned, the menu said $6.50 each, how come it became $33.90...
Luckily, the waitress checked and she actually took the wrong bill... lolx tis is the 1st time it actually happens to me...
Next we went to Hong Kong Cafe and eat the Mixed Grill set which serves Drink+ Soup + Bread + Dessert + Main COurse = 23.90 ringgit which is ard $10 DOLLARS...in s'pore if u find it come tell me...thx in advance...had our filling...and decided to look for hanny shirt bt we found out we have no money and they don accept master...so we headed hme... and again the checkpoint was full of ppl...luckily we managed to clear it soon via the self service counter...
Overall, it was smooth but tiring...will go back again... heres the photos...
