Singapore National Day Parade aka NDP 08: Unwavering Patriotism...

This is gonna be a very long post. You can read some, come back another day and read some etc etc.

Firstly, Happy National Day S'pore! Your getting old haha. Anyway, met jun hui at dhoby gaut to visit the national museum. You see we are a bunch of artistic ppl who wants to understand what we are not supposed to understand which is art.

Bt 1st went to buy smth. Its a secret and its really expensive. But its ok...
Along the way to the museum, we saw tis woman standing by the road. She was screaming! on the phone asking where are you, what are you doing. It seems like the bf/husband is having an affair. -_-

The first thing we went to the museum is saw tis
Cover ur eyes if you want. haha tis is the ancient Greek sculpture. You see the greeks picture muscular and feminie bodies as beautiful. Therefore, most of the sculpture displays fit body.

The museum changed alot I must say, erm the last time I came here was dono secondary or primary. couldnt rmb and it was old and non airconditioned.
But now the whole area is air-coned & much more classy and spacious.

We visited only 4 Galleries, the movie, food, fashion & interracial marriage.
Personally, I find the movie & fashion most interesting because you can watch films that are old but funny. And how it was made last time.

One of the thing in the fashion gallery is the women swim suit. Its interesting as theres zip in front of the swim suit. *bikini bt with zips*

We didnt complete the entire galleries. Coz my heart was where can i watch the live telecast of NDP. ThenI thght PADANG!

Moving on,we went back to PS & bght kfc variety value meal to eat at padang. Along the way, saw the president, turkey & vietnam ambassador motorcade. haha someday....

Walked to the padang, sometimes I juz don like ppl standing in front of u and blocking ur way, or walking so slowly when the stream supposed to be fast. Its such a spoilsport. Nv mind.

When jun hui & I reached padang, we thought we can enter the padang concert area. But it turned out we need ticks. So we juz sat at the grass patch outside the concert area. Eating our kfc.Isnt tis heart warming. A true Family. So touching.

It started to rain juz after we ate finish. -_- and we've gt no umbrella.
Jun hui says tis will test the patriotism of sporeans. To leave or not to leave.

So Bt then when it gets heavier, he himself wants to leave -_-
I told him we must be unwavered by the elements of nature.

Hence we went back to the grass patch near the concert's gate. Juz waiting for ppl to let us in.
and BY LUCK!. This official approach us & asked whether we want to go in and watch. we said
yes of course. and he tore 2 tickets off his booklet and gave it to us!! it was really LUCKY.

If we had left, we couldn't be inside. wohoo! god is touched by our unwavering acts so he rewarded us.When we are walking in, I still couldnt believe I get in and jun hui hug me in spite of excitement. tat gay...I'm straight though haha.

We gt our selve goodie bags. theres singapore flag, torch, flappers and many many more.
Our task is not juz audience, we need to form a singapore flag using a flappers which looks like tis.

Its 2 sided. One red & the other white. If you are sitting in the red sector * we are* we show red side. And frm a birds eye view. its the BIG singapore FLAG! cool right?

The rain continues, some of the aud wants to leave bt the mc painstakingly asked them to stay in a bid to make the flag successful. tis ppl ar, take goodie bag and run. wtf.
Heres wad the concerto area looks like.
We wore our pons pons. and tk retard photos.
Back to ndp, the first event was the S"pore lions parachuting frm the sky. haha. even though we are not at the marina promenade bt we still could catch the action as its juz besides us.
they were really tiny *if u cant see, click on the pics* really need a better camera haha.

Up next, were the arrival of the guest *as telecast on tv* nth much. juz tat pity those soldiers. every year make them stand so long and after singing so many songs then they march past.

When president nathan arrived, the huge helicopter with the S;pore flag fly past by padang.


and the anthem begins. tis reminds me of the very 1st ndp where it was held at 1965, padang. it was raining as well and yet ppl stood to their ground and continue singing. haha.

Afterwhich, was the march past etc etc.

Fast Forward>>>>> to the black knights!
Air show of the day.

OMG, they are so effing cool! their aerobatics is remarkable. Theres one scene whereby 2 JETS flying at 1000km/h towards each other and one turn left, one turn right *i have vids for it don worry* it reminds me of the pearl harbor scene where the 2 pilot also done tis if ur could rmb.

And the heart shape. Yes I saw it, you did too. haha.

Video no.2 tis involves the jets using their Afterburner meaning the power thrust of the plane to fly vertically up to the sky, some part u cant find the plane coz they are super high almost near the ozone layer. so juz be a lil patient and they will come back haha.

Up next, its those artistic songs and dance. Boring I muz say so I juz sms. haha.
Oh ya and then we were supposed to make a night spore flag using tis call palm torch

and so we form the night spore flag like the one u see on the screen.
Its really a collective effort. If everyone goes home, we couldnt have done tis.

Finally, the finale of the night, FIre works! & i asked jun hui wads his wish for S'pore. He says: to reunite with Malaysia! haha!
