Juz came back from a ritual to shift my late paternal ah gong & ah ma & Uncle to a temporary location coz theres some renovation and rebuilding going on where they are placed. Even though it just shifting from one tower till the other. Bt i still feel its nt very right.
Can u believe it?! even when you die, there are still developers come and say: "ok i will en bloc tis place, can all of your late parents, siblings or friends wadeva tablet, please move to somewhere else."
Everything is so commercialized that the Chinese Columbarium tat my late kin's situated, had switched ownership up to 3 times. Each time they change, they ask for more money for all the bull shit reasons.
My dad says he will sue the company coz our family refused to move, moreover pay the fees. So in the end they waived the charges and everything to compromise everything.
And what's more ridiculous is the company wants to renovate it luxuriously. I looked at the blueprint tat they displayed. Its set up and amenities can fit the image of a hotel. With red carpet from the entrance etc and couch to rest on with reception. -_-
I mean come on. Tis is the place for the dead, not for tourist or corporate lodging. Why must they make it so posh. Theres no point.
What's the real meaning of Rest In Peace? I felt tis statement is understated in today's world alr.
