Went to Bosses Restaurant today with family. My Cousin Por Yee says its good so we went to try it.
Well the deco is really full of class & mystery. Why I say its mystery, its because its all black. As the name "Hei" means black, speaks for itself.Snacks were fish cracker instead of peanuts. Hmm smth new. Tis is nt ordinary fish cracker. At first look, it may seems like a mini silver fish with its grey skin. Bt its nt, it is really crunchy.
So let's begin with the food.

1st up "xiao long bao"If its not good, I'm lying. I seldom eat xiao long bao coz occasionally theres funny taste on it. However, tis one is really good. The soup inside the "xiao long bao" is simply tasty.
2nd Peking Duck
First we have the chef to slice the skin of the duck and dubbed it on an omelette's with onion & cucumber.
And it is served.
Unveiling its content. Its my all time fav when it comes to duck. If you don put the duck, juz the skin will do. I juz love the skin. 3rd "Pipa" Tofu
Crispy and soft. There's only 8 pieces bt we have 9 ppl. oh well gt to share.

4th Cabbage We often see tis at those mixed vegetable rice stall. And it taste bland. Bt tis is different. It got so much taste in it, tat one who hate veggies mostly kids would turn to snatch for it. lol.

5th Ham Soup


The soup is superbly milky. We've been discussing whether did they put carnation or not. Bt even if it does, the soup cant be tat milky. The chef definitely have gd culinary skill.

6th "Soon Hock" Fish izzit sea bass in translation? nt too sure.
Though its fresh bt felt abit overpriced.

7th Roasted Duck
Yea so you thght that after they peel the skin and serve us, the meat would be thrown away.
Actually not, it returned to the wok and cooked once again by the chef with some seasoning etc.
Usually duck meat is quite chewy and tough.

Tis duck is so easy to chew. Juz a simple pull and the meat separates frm its parent meat.

At the end of the meal, its really fulling. Went to the restroom. Its really special. Theres no door to the toilet. No female/male. Its surrounded by glasses. And right behind the glasses are the cubicles. Innovative!
You open the glass door and get tisAnd theres no tap. Juz gt to stand perpendicular to the basin and water will start pouring. Amazing.

One thing abt open concept cooking is tat, theres an added pressure compared to close kitchen. U cant really let ur hair down. So much for a marketing concept. -_-
