Strangely, it's CNY but I juz don get the excitement, anticipation and joyous. Is it the older you grow, the mundane each new year gets? Perhaps we've been doing the same routine consecutively. Perhaps there's smth else bt wad is it? juz wad is blocking the happy mood?
Nonetheless there were happy moments and chuckles. afterall, its new year.
Traditionally one should smile, Non-traditionally one should smile as well.
Because it juz a facial muscle lift away. Lame.

And so this pot of steamboat has a very special significance in the family. If I'm not wrong, it had served up to 5 generations of the family. Very meaningful.Having said that, 4th great-grand uncle's curry is one of the best I've ever eaten.
As usual, the old practice is to play Blackjack at the house. Opened up a table and money started pouring in to bet. Our rule of the thumb is that each player has to be a banker 3 times in a row.This makes the game more fun. Lost quite alot.
On the positive side, its good. Because if you lose something, perhaps you will gain something else. wonder what would it be?
Approximately 9p.m. 15 of us left to watch the movie "Love Matters" another jack production.
We are short of one car coz dad fetch sis home first. Hence, the cousins stayed behind to wait for the car, while the rest head to Cinema at Suntec first.

It was so so lucky tat we managed to reach on time. The ads were still rolling when we went in. phew."Love Matters" is the worst jack neo's production so far. Although there were some humorous scenes but not good enough for a big laugh. Adding on to the fact that it was filmed in Kuala Lumpur makes the film unable to relate with Older Singaporeans.
Let me pick an example, in money not enough, we had the 4D craze with mark lee as the god of fortune. This is something where Singaporeans find familiarity in. Whereas for the current film, there's no sense of connection.
It's total lameness to watch it. Unless you've won blackjack/majong/poker and had some extra cash to spare the now global economic recession, don't watch.
