While walking there, saw glass panel slowly being put up on the ION Orchard. Hurray. Another shopping mall sprouting on this small country.
Start off, Julian showed us a slide show of his photos taken in South Africa. It really awe me coz some photos were really good.
He explained to us whats the difference between amateur photographer & professional photographer.
"Amateur photographer takes photo only when he has time. Professional photographer have all the time in the world to take photos coz its their job."
In both cases, photos from both side of the camp have sold photos which earned them quarter of a million dollar. So after all, taking photos can earn money. haha.Oh yes, I have yet to talk about the class. It comprises all sort of ppl. Frm ppl who are executives to Ang mohs to young to old and amateurs like me. Ang Moh look like Hulk Hogan. haha.
Julian makes the class really interesting and enticing to learn with his good humour. We did practical as well. A little toy is placed on our table and according to Julian instructions, we'd have to shoot it and see the difference.
He thght us the twilight effect.
I will summarize the 3 core things that he have taught.
1. Shutter Speed, It is the exposure the camera is given to "record" the image.
It is really amazing what shutter speed can do to images. I will show u later.
2. Aperture, in layman, it is like a curtain to decide how much light can enter the lenses.
Again it can do wonders.
"Control Aperture & U can control the essence of your Photo."
3. ISO known as International Standard Organization sets the benchmark for worldwide standards in almost anything tat is in our lifestyle. In photography, it is the film speed in which it decipher the sensitivity of light to the image sensor.
The higher the ISO, the faster the speed. Vice Versa. Limitations of ISO is tat higher ISO equals more grainy and noisy pictures. U get tat pixel pixel kind of images, if u noe wad i mean.
Then there was tis bimbotic fake golden hair gal who spoil my mood. Instructor asked us to take the little toy on our table. Bt she turned her camera and shoot me instead. plus With her flash on and close distance, one could go blind in tis event.3. in what kind of instruction states tat shoot the toy on the table means the person beside u. Do i even look like a toy. -_-
Okay unhappy things aside. The course ended promptly at 9p.m. I decided to practice what I have learn by taking photos around town.
So tis is the magic of shutter speed. If u use a normal compact camera, the shot of the water feature would be tis. U notice tat the water droplets is divided by individual droplets.
I love tis 2 pic especially. Its nt photo shopped. U can do tis with shuttering. haha.
Its like transversing with the car. Its like YOU are the car.
Black & White Edition
Is there a time where u'd have to walk alone & life seems colorless?
When the Green Man & Red Man Co-exist at 1 second.
Orange Lamps
So wad is tis effect known as. It is known as the aperture effect. By adjusting the aperture, u'd get a star bliss streetlamps.
By adjusting the right functions. U can get twilight/shuttering/starbliss effect all in one.
