First Work @ COMEX SHOW...

Hi, andy is back to blogging, finally! *say yeah everyone* random..haha.

I have been working at the COMEX SHOW for 4 consecutive day. It was a gruelling and tiring job i tell you. Nv has it occur to me that this type of job is so taxing. But now I noe how the Comex people feel.

Let me try to illustrate what happens each day, if i could remember.

Day 1
Went to the HP Booth at 10.30a.m.
My supervisor soon came and her name is Alicia. Shes a "bitch" tell you more later on.. Then it was my new colleague. Didnt really mixed with the gals at first but the guys instead. Met a new friend named edward. Quite a friendly and nice guy from ngee ann poly.

And 12noon, the door opened. The crowd starts to pour in like a pool of river. Made my first sales in the first 5 mins. Then it went on consecutively. It was easy to sell for me at least. Because I am approachable and friendly, haha no luh. Perhaps its because we are selling HP cartridges. Its cheaper compare to other products like tv and pc.

Stood till dinner and yea the food sux and whats more we have to stand and eat our dinner. Went back to work. And theres another supervisor. Call kenny. this big fat guy is so irritating. Edward and I was doing sales at the counter. And yet he claim we are not selling & plainly talking. But if we are not selling, where the hell you can get $23,000!!!! for one cashier out of the 2. Juz a plain idiot. Tsk

I went to stand to the other counter alone. I find it better there. No.1 no big fat guy. No.2 though theres crowd but its still more peaceful somehow.
And Joyleen came to find me. haha. shes working at star hub. juz wear the green shirt "Buy Me" "and get free" then gt $9 per hr and 3 hr break. omg tats gd luh. lol.

Finish work at 10p.m. and joy finished at ard 9p.m. so she has been waiting for me for ard 1 hr. plus. sry bout tat. haha. walked to city link and the road seems ridiculously long. My legs feel like breaking after standing 13 hrs straight! so i ask joy to carry me but ya i'm too heavy. lol.

Chit chat all the way to mrt and train etc.

Day 2
Woke and my whole body is juz so numb. Fatigue to the max. Joy say wan to eat breakfast but end up her father fetch and I woke up too early and reached at 10.00a.m. instead of 10.30a.m.
You see being early is a virtue. But In my case, I have been early all the time. I dono whether izzit gd or not. For every semester, I am the first to reach class and now even my work also the first to reach. then always sit there emo. -_- why cant i be first in class. maybe only once.

I went back to stand at the "peaceful place" and did the same routine again.
Customer were mostly friendly. Thankful for tat. Near the cashier, theres a gal call evon. so we chi chat to kill time. coz its juz so mundane to stand there alone and only talking to customer.

But there was tis few customers. auntie auntie wan. I noe they wan to buy cartridge but no need touch touch wad. Disgusted and say muz give them my number then they buy. wtf! nightmare.

And joyleen and her frend came again. so we chit chat abit. So envious of them to juz walk ard and giving ppl free bag. lol.

Went back at 9.30p.m. slightly earlier. woot!

Day 3
Again, same routine. Perhaps why I am willing to wake up is because the bread at breadtalk is so nice tat I must wake up and buy. Walk along city link, bite a bread and drink a cup of orange juice, what a wonderful day. haha.

But then, reality strikes in. work again. I really wish there was some chair for us to sit. Coz its so tormenting to stand for the whole day. remind me of my npcc days where have to stand in the parade square under the sun.

There was tis indian customer. As he speaks, he spits saliva off his mouth. I tink i was cover by it almost 65%. yuck.

And I saw jessica from my class last time. haha, i tink she was shocked when i say hi.lol
And my parents came to find me. haha.

Tis time, I have make friends with all of my colleagues, Some are nice and some are nicer. haha.
but the supervisor alicia is so sucky. Ok so the booth is closed. Everyone is holding their bag. And she says if i cannt go back, your also cannt go back. And she went ard asking one of my colleague to scout for her laptop. wtf

I mean if its work time, its reasonable to stay back. But now you are using your personal time as an excuse to hold us back. izzit fair, i doubt so. And shes short tempered etc. whenever, its busy time, she will give tat sulky face and always come complain to me coz i tink im the only one tat appear "friendly to her." But actually, I'm not. Juz giving her face.

Day 4
LAst day! finally. Early morning, parents bough porridge for me. Seems so nice to be taken care off and they offer to fetch me. tis means, I need not walk the long citylink. hurray!
SLept in the car all the way to suntec convention.

They also wan to buy tv for me room coz i told them I saw cheap prices and my old one colors faded. Initially, wanted to bring them in. But they are customers not exhibitor so cant go in.
After noon, they came in and I told them I saw the samsung tv.

By the time a lot of ppl came in. so i asked them to go back 1st. perhaps. they will slice the price at ard 7p.m. so i buy myself later on.

Today, I stand with edward and another "uncle" tats what he is to me. Its quite relaxing and exciting. Relaxing as in we are chatting together and at the same time serving customers.
Exciting as in when its closing. We throw out many many free gifts. And shouting at the top of our lung. haha. so fun. When its closing time, all of us tear & throw the sales sheet away. haha.

Quickly rushed to buy my TV and went back to take some photos with them. And Bid goodbye.
Overall, it was tiring yes and have to endure the hell frm the supervisor yes but glad tat i have nice colleague and mostly friendly customers and occasional chatting frm friends and family.

Rubbish
More rubbish. Why cant comex show use electronic ads instead of papers. look at all tis. they are throwing papers everywhere. tis is so irresponsible and unacountable to the environment. Wait till the nature catch up with them. and they will suffer. or shld i say, we, all of us will suffer.


And tis are my colleague, and where am I. went to collect my tv. don wan to put the shots with me coz i look exhausted.

And my new Samsung LCDtv. Yeah! and its cheap $499 slashed to $367. Good bargain. haha. tats all.
